In 2020 The Citizens brought together academics, lawyers, journalists and civil rights campaigners to hold the tech giant to account.
I acted as Creative Director responsible for branding and creating shareable social content.

At the start of the pandemic a heavily pregnant Dr Meenal Viz was being asked to work in A&E without proper PPE.
She staged a protest outside 10 Downing Street. I was there to support her campaign which gained headlines around the world.

A self funded channel for my anger at the state of British politics.
Despite overwhelming evidence that the 2016 referendum was hacked the UK went ahead with the most important constitutional change in decades. Democracy 999 was set up to troll the Met Police and the National Crime Agency to act on evidence supplied by the Electoral Commission.
The campaign was picked up by Guardian journalist Carole Cadwalladr and has earned in excess of 200,000 media impressions.

Launched on the same day as The Sunday Times Rich List, The Crony Times Rich List – shamed the top ten Tory Party donors awarded huge contracts for PPE without a proper tendering process.
The website launched with a film projected onto Parliament and selected OOH sites.
And we were approached by Jealous Gallery to create limited edition prints of the artwork.
I wrote and directed this short which won Homespun Yarns 2018 and was later bought by Sci Fi channel - DUST.

Us advertisers. We love our awards. Great for new business. Great for propping up fragile egos. But with so many how do you keep track?
We launched T-minus to help creatives everywhere keep on top of submissions. It tracked every creative award deadline in the world.
And our clever friends over at B-Reel built us a gorgeous infographic screensaver, with changes to deadlines and news piped straight through to your desktop.
Wanted to turn this into a business and publish an awards API. But couldn’t reach an agreement on ownership with Martin Sorrell.
5,000 visits a week and stayed in the Creativity Top 20 for a few weeks.

BT wanted to become the partner of choice among SMEs for their IT needs. What resulted was a fully integrated campaign based on the insight that entrepreneurs wanted pursue the passion that had got them into business in the first place rather than faff about with their IT issues.
Our line encouraged them to Do what you do best. However, the idea grew beyond a tagline and became a central organizing idea for the whole company.
In 2019 Cannes Lions booked Alexander Nix. Yep, the Steve Bannon loving, far right funded, disgraced Cambridge Analytica boss under investigation in the E.U. and the U.S.
And why was the man who stole 80million Facebook profiles at Cannes? To speak about the morality of data.
WTF?
No one seemed to be talking about it. So I cut my very first Cannes Lion in half. Sent it back to Cannes Lions Chairman Philip Thomas along with an open letter to the press.
A Guardian journalist picked it up. And suddenly everyone was talking about it. And before long…. Nix, got nixed.
